Hello! My name is Katie and I’m the artist and writer behind the Me and Mary Shop. I appreciate you stopping by and I’m grateful for your interest.  I am a follower of Jesus, a wife to one very witty and super supportive man and a mom to two totally opposite but equally awesome kids. And no, I'm not named Mary. Mary is my inspirational grandmother that fueled my creative heart and taught me about enjoying life and living it fully.

The door to Me and Mary opened in 2015 after the door to my graphic design business closed. My heart and lifestyle were sending me on a journey of returning back to basics in my home life, design, and business. Since my creative pursuits tend to dip into many areas of my life you will find a mix of a few things on here.
On the blog, I share a little about what I find to be the heart of living simply. This includes reducing home clutter, decorating a rental home, and organizing life to creating artwork with a faith based and inspirational focus. In the shop you will discover the fruits of my creativity in the form of wood signs, calligraphy prints, and more.
When I’m not homeschooling our children or satisfying a craving for a chai tea latte, I’m tucked away in my office painting or lettering.
Lettering Workshops
In an effort to encourage others to pursue their own creative path, I offer local workshops teaching modern lettering in either brush pen or watercolor. For more information about hosting a workshop, please email me at katie@meandmaryshop.com.
Custom Hand Lettered Prints
Let me create a print for you in modern calligraphy of your favorite quote, verse, or any set of words that resonates with you. All of my lettering is done in watercolor in a dark gray shade but I am open to custom preferences in terms of color. Please email me at katie@meandmaryshop.com with your request to discuss options and pricing.
Watercolor Home Portraits
From celebrations to everyday moments, the home is a special place to us all. Painting a custom watercolor portrait of your home is one of my most favorite things to create because I know it's much more than just a painting. For more information please visit the following link: Home Portraits
